Skin Tag & Mole Removal
Because skin tags and moles vary widely in size, depth, and how they're attached to the skin, this treatment uses one of two methods selected specifically for your concern.
Smaller, superficial skin tags or flat spots can often be treated with laser ablation, where focused laser energy vaporizes the tissue at the surface with minimal disruption to surrounding skin. Larger, raised, or deeper lesions are instead removed via shave excision or cauterization — a precise physical removal that allows for better control over depth and, when needed, allows the tissue to be sent for pathology if there's any concern about its nature.
Your provider will assess the lesion's size, depth, and appearance at consultation to determine the safest and most effective method.
Best suited for:
-
Patients wanting safe removal of benign, previously evaluated skin tags or moles
-
Those with either superficial or deeper concerns, assessed individually at consultation
-
Anyone seeking a quick, precise in-office procedure
What to expect:
-
Minimal downtime — a small scab may form at the treatment site and heal within about a week
-
Method determined by your provider based on lesion size, depth, and appearance
-
Any mole showing changes in size, shape, color, or border should be medically evaluated for malignancy before cosmetic removal
As always, a complimentary consultation is available to determine if skin tag or mole removal is the right fit for your goals.
